The end of EOS

Well in the April edition we focused on all things US, and New York in particular. We chatted to Lawrence Hunt from Silverjet about how he launched his Business only arline whilst also reviewing EOS's offering on the travel pages.

Unfortunately today (Sunday 27th April) saw the closure of EOS with the company apply for Chapter 11 protection in New York. Read the story from the BBC here.

They cite the turbulent global financial markets for this move. Having spoken to Lawrence Hunt, we wish him well as his Silverjet company has seen off two competitors in EOS and Maxjet, which closed at Chistmas.

This closure and the low cost business travel that was offereed for travel to New York and also Dubai will possible have a knock on effect to the customers of EOS, but i am sure that Silverjet will capitalise on this move so not many businesses see their travel costs sky rocket.
