Enterprise Nation opens advice centre at London’s Somerset House to boost UKs small businesses

The network will take over a suite of rooms at the historic Somerset House on The Strand, in central London, providing a base for support projects including tailored training and in-depth research, while supporting the network’s campaigning arm.

The space is the vision of Enterprise Nation founder Emma Jones, who in June 2012 was awarded an MBE for Services to Enterprise.

Speaking about the launch Jones said: ‘We want this space to not only be a permanent home for the 60,000-strong Enterprise Nation community, we want to open it to thousands more small and creative businesses that are looking for practical advice, business support, finance and mentoring – and to meet each other on a more regular basis.

‘People often ask why there isn’t already a clear pathway to receiving the specific advice urgently needed by an emerging army of self-employed and small business founders. We hope this will be the answer.

‘As a nation we can’t afford to take any chances. We need to offer solid, fit-for-purpose advice and support that will take this generation of entrepreneurs to the next level.’
