You will be presented with a written assessment and top tips on how to build your business in the current climate.

Making a Difference

With small businesses needing to run efficiently in order to survive in the current climate, getting the right IT and Communications service is more important than ever before. SMEs are the backbone of the UK’s economy, with 99% of businesses falling into this category [1], any improvements that can be made by SMEs will not only benefit themselves but also the country’s economy.

Improvements in technology and internet services have also meant more of the country’s 13.8 million SME employees are experiencing the benefits of working from home. This means that businesses are able to generate better profits but are also able to ensure a happier and more productive workforce.

Spearheading the current developments in technology is the roll out of fibre broadband. A recent study by BT found that, for every £1 a business invests in superfast broadband, it creates nearly £10[2] in additional gross value added for the UK economy.

Superfast broadband, which brings benefits such as cloud computing, could also help 73,000[2] home workers and create 26,200[2] jobs through new business ventures and improved business performance, according to the report.
