Smarta 100 chosen for 2013

The Smarta 100, in partnership with O2, sought to find the best businesses in the UK. Not just  those who make the most money, but the businesses that have the most original ideas and make a true difference. The wanted to find beacons of enterprising Britain, the small firms that are pushing the economic recovery forward, be it a brilliant social enterprise, an inspiring young tech start-up or a small manufacturer.

Previous winners have included onesie brand, Kigu, customer funded wine business, Naked Wines, crowd-sourced design firm Concept Cupboard and the world’s first designer energy-saving light bulb Plumen.

2013 didn’t disappoint with Smarta saying that they received 1,500 entries, 100 winners, 55,000 votes, 10 special award winners, £20,000 given away and one Smarta 100 together with O2 Business Of The Year, [ilink url=”http://www.giveasyoulive.com”]Give As You Live[/ilink] .
