Biscuiteers smash crowdfunding target

Biscuiteers
Biscuiteers, the award-winning online retailer of hand-iced biscuits launched their crowdfunding campaign on 4th October 2016 via Crowdcube.
They have now successfully reached their maximum crowdfunding target, raising £1,250,000 from 784 investors in 31 countries, ranging from Indonesia to Mexico. The average investment was £1590 and the most common was £100.

Having originally set out to raise £550,000 Biscuiteers were inundated with interest and now have the second largest number of investors for a raise this size on the Crowdcube site. Biscuiteers will now join the ‘Funded Club’ of just 44 companies who have successfully raised over £1,000,000 since Crowdcube was established in 2011.

The campaign was awarded a triple gold rating by crowdrating.co.uk, the independent guide to crowdfunding opportunities.

The purpose of raising money for the business is to accelerate growth in key areas of marketing, manufacturing, infrastructure, retail and international.

Biscuiteers founder and MD Harriet Hastings comments, “We were overwhelmed with interest in our campaign – it was particularly lovely to have so many of our own customers among our investors.  We are hugely excited by the new opportunities this has created for the business and the marketing benefits that the crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube has brought to the brand.”
