The Leap 100: 100 fast-growth companies brought together to track 2015 trends

Throughout 2015, the challenges, opportunities and successes of this group will be tracked via regular polls, and roundtables and panel events hosted by Mishcon de Reya. This data will be published and analysed on a monthly basis within the pages of City AM and will also feature on a bespoke microsite.

Working with partners at The Supper Club, City AM and The Entrepreneurs Network, Mishcon de Reya identified the 100 companies it feels are the ‘ones to watch’. The Leap 100 list includes exclusive members only travel club Secret Escapes, producer of satchels and leather goods The Cambridge Satchel Company, top European equity crowdfunding site Seedrs, designer furniture retailer Made.com, worldwide shoe designer Charlotte Olympia and craft beer brewers BrewDog.

The Leap 100 list is neither ranked nor an exhaustive selection. The companies – which span many sectors – were chosen because of their growth potential, and for the broader business insight they will be able to provide over the year ahead. Click here for the full list.

Nick Davis, Head of Corporate at Mishcon de Reya, said: “We developed The Leap campaign to examine the hurdles and opportunities facing explosive growth companies and the people that lead them; it forms part of our commitment to supporting our clients through every critical stage in their businesses.

“The Leap events that we have already hosted provided an opportunity to learn from a variety of entrepreneurs who have successfully navigated a changing and turbulent business environment to achieve significant growth. The formalisation of The Leap 100 is the next step of the campaign and we are particularly proud of the high calibre of businesses that form the list. The content that we generate through The Leap 100 will be invaluable in helping us to further deepen our understanding of high growth businesses.

Marc Sidwell, Executive Editor, City A.M. commented: “With the General Election taking place in May, 2015 marks an incredibly important year for the business community. We are honoured to give a voice to these ambitious companies and provide them with a platform to comment on the most important issues facing the UK growth landscape.”

Emma-Jane Packe of The Supper Club added: “This year marks a turning point in the UK as all eyes are on high-growth businesses, the scale-ups, to deliver real strength to the economy. The Supper Club has been working with some of Britain’s most successful entrepreneurs over the past 11 years and we’re thrilled to partner with Mishcon de Reya on The Leap 100, profiling our members and strengthening a shared ambition to support growing businesses in the UK.”

Philip Salter, Director, The Entrepreneurs Network commented: “The Leap 100 companies are led by many of Britain’s most ambitious and exciting entrepreneurs. As a think tank we aim to make this country the best place in the world to start and grow a business; The Leap 100 offers a rare opportunity to find out more about what’s helping and hindering entrepreneurship in the UK, and will feed into our campaigns and engagement with policymakers.”
