Alibaba puts its customers in front of the camera and 22million viewers
Dozens of companies uploaded entry videos to www.alibaba-tv.com after the company launched its search amongst its 750,000 users to be a part in this unique opportunity, demonstrating the story of a buyer-supplier relationship they had forged through Alibaba.com’s business trading platform.
The new ad campaign is running during the month of August on national satellite and terrestrial channels, including stations such as Channel 4, estimated to reach over 22 million viewers.
The winners of the ad campaign recruitment will also feature in radio spots on LBC, Absolute and Talk Sport.
The four winning businesses featured in this 30 second advert are: -
- Macintyres of Edinburgh, Scotland: a jewellery manufacturer and wholesaler, which used Alibaba.com to source gift boxes for its products. The company’s quirky entry video had members of staff performing a spoof version of ‘I gotta feeling’ by the Black Eyed Peas.
- Gangstar Skateboards: a Newport, Wales-based clothing range, which found a supplier to work with to create a new line of hoodies, caps and t-shirts.
- TP Electronics: a Plymouth-based company which needed an electronic gauge to be fitted into a newly designed instrument panel for luxury yachts.
- The Talent Shed: a London-based novelty goods designer, which was looking for a company to manufacture its creative loofah bath products.
