Are you a music enthusiast and you like listening to music whenever you are? Here are seven amazing things you didn’t know your apple airpods.
It was expensive but you’ve just picked up a pair of Apple AirPods. You’ll soon realize that the hit to your wallet was worth it for the sound quality you can get out of them. They’re a powerhouse for being so tiny.
You can also do a lot more with them than listen to your favorite songs. It’s possible to pair them with your android devices and you’ll be able to use Siri with them. The battery life isn’t too bad either if you use them the right way.

Pairing Them With Your Other Apple Products is Easy
Pairing your AirPods with your other Apple devices takes seconds at best. All you have to do is open the charging case and wait for the connection prompt to pop up on your phone. Tap connect and enjoy your music.
So, you synced your device up to your phone but you’re not sure how to connect AirPods to Mac. As long as all your Apple products use the same iCloud account your AirPods will connect to your computer automatically.
You Can Pair Them With Other Apple Products Too
You don’t have to own all Apple products in order to use your AirPods. They’ll work with Android devices as well. If you flip over your case you’ll notice a small button.
If you put your AirPods in the case and hold down the button, you’ll be able to sync your device to all of your non-Apple devices. There is a catch, however. They lose almost all of their cool features.
Your music won’t pause if you take your AirPods out of your ears and your playback controls won’t function. If you want to be able to check the battery life of your AirPods on your Android phone, you’ll have to download an app first.
Save On Battery Power
Got a long trip ahead of you and need your music in order to make it through? We understand that pain. The good news is the good folks at Apple seem to understand it as well.
There’s an easy way to save battery life on your AirPods. All you’ve got to do is switch them out. Put one bud in and leave the other one in the case.
When the bud you have in starts to die, place it in the case and use the other one. Your sound will transfer over to the other bud without any extra work on your end.
Check the Battery Life of Your AirPods
Nothing is worse than when your wireless earbuds suddenly die on you. With AirPods, you can prepare for this little setback by checking their battery level. If you open your case, a message will pop up on your iPhone that displays the current battery life of the buds.
You can also download a widget and add it to your notification center. It will only show the battery life of your AirPods while you’re using them though.
You can check your bud’s battery with your Apple Watch as well. Open your AirPod’s case near the watch and pull up the control center. When you tap on the battery you’ll be able to see how much juice the watch and your earbuds have left.
Your AirPods will recognize the “Hey Siri” command. Once you say “Hey Siri” your music volume will soften to indicate that she’s listening to you. From there you can control your music volume or read and respond to text messages.
You can do the same thing using your Apple Watch but you have to have data to be able to do it.
Change the Name of Your AirPods
For certain reasons, you may want to rename your AirPods. You can do this by going to the Bluetooth settings on your iPad or iPhone.
Once you’re in the Bluetooth settings, click on the “i” next to your AirPods. You’ll then see a “name” field where you can enter the name of your device.
After you put in the name you can back out. The name you entered should show up on all the devices that are connected to your Cloud account.
Customize Your Controls
While you’re playing around in the settings menu, you can also set up controls for your AirPods. The cool thing is that you can apply individual settings for each bud. Click on that “i” icon again and select which bud you want to alter, the left or right.
You’ll then be able to control how the bud functions or you can turn it off completely.
Using Your AirPods as a Hearing Aid
Apple has recently added a feature called “live listen” that will allow you to turn your AirPods into a hearing aid. Go to the settings on your iPhone and click on the green plus symbol next to the hearing option.
Put your AirPods in and click on your phone’s control center. Go to “hearing”, followed by “live listen”. Once the feature is activated you can put your phone down and hear the audio of the things going on around you.
Amazing Things You Can Do With Your Apple AirPods
There are a lot of interesting things that you can do with Apple AirPods besides listening to your Spotify playlist. They can act as hearing aids, you can customize how each bud works, and they’ll work with your non-Apple products. The sky’s the limit.
