ClickSlide secures seed investment from Ariadne Capital Entrepreneurs fund

Founded in 2011, ClickSlide creates websites that can be viewed on all devices and their latest product, ClickSlide Abacus, a cloud-based platform that enables users who lack expertise to programme apps without code is due for launch later this year, the firm plans to use the undisclosed investment to fund further product development.

Founded in the UK, ClickSlide is currently based in New York’s tech centre Roosevelt Island, which is due to receive a £6bn funding boost from investors including Microsoft, Google and IBM.

Managed by investment firm Ariadne Capital, the ACE fund invests in innovative early-stage business-to-business (B2B) tech companies.

The fund co-founded by Julie Meyer and Karima Serageldin announced that it had raised $8.2m at first close to support such businesses in July 2012.

Meyer commented on the latest investment from the fund: “When we first met the ClickSlide team we were immediately excited by what they were working on.

“We believe that they’re doing exactly what entrepreneurs should always do – set out to change the world. The technology that Clickslide is developing promises to do just that.”
