More support for startup entrepreneurs in London unveiled

Business Bootcamp, funded by RBS Group and supported by the Mayor of London, is a programme of training events and support targeted at entrepreneurs and early stage start ups who have ambition to develop efficient high growth businesses.
The new Alumni network will provide entrepreneurs with a series of networking events, deals and offers to help businesess grow, such as free mentorship, discounts on work spaces, website development and accounting and legal services.
Commenting on the launch, Ian Cowie, Chief Executive, Business & Commercial Banking at RBS said: “We recognise the potential of high growth businesses to create much needed jobs and income into the economy, and that’s why we’re supporting the Bootcamp programme and the Alumni network, which will provide advice, guidance and support to help these businesses grow.”
John Spindler, CEO of Capital Enterprise and Business Bootcamp said: “Earlier this year, London became one of the few regions in the country where there was no government funding to directly help people start a business or source professional advice and guidance. But London needs more ambitious start-up companies with growth potential and for this to happen we need to increase the level of expert face-to-face support for entrepreneurs.”
Martin Poschendrieder, creator of the Tipgain mobile app, is one of the 750 London entrepreneurs that has benefited from a Business Bootcamp. Commenting on the experience he said: “The Bootcamp was a great experience that allowed me to build up my practical skills through tutoring and exercises, and to network and meet entrepreneurs that are leading the industry.”
