Following a request on Twitter by fellow Scot Duncan Bannatyne for suggestions on who should replace Devey many suggested Mone and Michelle herself responded saying: “Now that I have the time I’d love to enter the Den”
Mone, who had previously ruled herself out of joining the BBC programme citing that she was too busy, has seen her business go from strength to strength with launches of tanning products and dietary supplements joining the many underwear ranges her company produce for different markets.
She has also had a very well publicised break up from her husband and business partner, but is reported to have ‘re-found her sparkle’ after meeting businessman Karl French whilst on holiday.
Mone, who received an OBE in November 2010 for services to enterprise and charity, is also no stranger to television as has featured on a celebrity version of The Apprentice, Celebrity Masterchef and 71 Degrees North as well as taking part in many documentaries.
Mone is a no nonsense business woman who has built her ultimo brand into a multi-million pound business, who over the past year or so has also launched fragrance lines, beauty products and dietary supplements so could offer a great deal of advice to businesses she invested in.
