Are you the UK’s most inspirational small business owner?

Whether you have “made it” by starting off with only a few quid in your bank, overcome an illness while setting up your company, or are a business who donates half of your profits to charity.

instantprint knows the journey that SMEs have to go through to succeed, and with their own inspirational story to tell, wants to find others to tell their story and gain recognition for it. The Most Inspirational Small Business Owner Awards open today, 30th October. Small business owners can enter themselves for the awards, or alternatively, people can nominate a business owner to win.

All entries will be shortlisted by a judging panel, consisting of James Kinsella, co-owner of instantprint; award-winning entrepreneur Lewis Bowen, managing director of AIR – the cleaner fuel company and winner of the 42 under 42 Yorkshire Entrepreneur Awards 2015; along with Phil Geraghty from Crowdfunder, who are partnering with instantprint for this campaign.

Once shortlisted, the finalists will go to a public vote – to win £1,500 in cash and a range of promotional products for their business, courtesy of instantprint.

James Kinsella, co-owner of instantprint, said: “Running a business isn’t an easy task, and making it a success is something to be celebrated. We’d like to hear from those business owners who have an inspirational story to tell about their success – to encourage others thinking of starting up their own small business. We know how difficult it can be getting people to believe in you, which is why we want to invest in business by awarding a winner.

“The idea for instantprint came whilst Adam (co-owner) and I were at university and we found that getting flyers printed for club nights and events wasn’t as easy as it could have been. We knew there must be a better way to order flyers, and so we set up instantprint, printing a few flyers at first from my dad’s garage.”

Phil Geraghty, MD of Crowdfunder, added: “At Crowdfunder we see thousands of inspirational businesses launching with the support of the crowd. We are excited to be involved in the instantprint awards and looking forward to welcoming new and innovative businesses to the Crowdfunder community.”
