Enterprise Nation has announced it is to appoint growth expert Richard Fifield as chief executive officer.

The organisation, which represents the views of thousands of small and micro businesses as well as self-employed individuals, says the new appointment comes as it enters its next phase of expansion.
Earlier this year, the firm launched a dynamic new £2m platform, part of its mission to become the UK’s leading provider of business support.
Enterprise Nation founder Emma Jones, said: “Richard is an expert in accelerating companies and taking them to new levels and so his appointment is a really exciting move for the team as we enter an important growth phase.
“With a safe pair of hands at the helm of the company, this will free me up to do what I most savour – which is representing the views of small business to government, working with our members to ensure we’re delivering the very best in support, and with our large corporate partners on scaling out campaigns.
“Richard is a long-time supporter of Enterprise Nation and I can’t wait for him to join!”
Richard said: “Enterprise Nation is very well placed to become the first port of call for small businesses looking for support to start and grow.
“With our new technology on board, our task now is to ensure as many small businesses as possible get involved with what we do – and channel their passion into value.”
Enterprise Nation has grown 100 per cent year-on-year for the past three years. Its new features, which include a member dashboard that enables real-time peer-to-peer networking and feedback, a rated adviser marketplace and a business health check service, have been developed in response to research that a third of all firms don’t even know where to start to access support.
Richard grew Tenon’s outsourcing business before becoming a partner at Realise Capital Partners LLP where he’s advised businesses from start-up to exit.
