Santander named ‘Business Bank of The Year’

Business Moneyfacts, the leading independent business finance guide, also awarded Santander the title of ‘Best Business Current Account Provider’, the ninth time the banking group has won the award. Santander was also successful in the ‘Best No Notice Business Deposit Account Provider’ and ‘Best Service from a Commercial Mortgage Provider’ categories.

Lee Tillcock, Editor of Business Moneyfacts, said: “Santander performed consistently well during 2010 and Business Moneyfacts is delighted to recognise this excellence by awarding it ‘Business Bank of the Year’. This award measures all aspects of business finance, including products, innovation and service. It is assessed by our experienced research teams and is based on the data collected, analysed and displayed in Business Moneyfacts magazine and its online systems over the whole year.

Steve Pateman, Head of UK Corporate and Commercial Banking said: “We are delighted to have been awarded ‘Business Bank of the Year’ for the third consecutive year. Winning four categories at this year’s Business Moneyfacts awards highlights Santander’s commitment to the SME market. Providing a true relationship-based service, along with great products, has allowed us to add real value to our customers’ businesses.
“While still a relatively small provider in the SME market, Santander is committed to increasing the support it offers to SMEs and we aim to become the SME bank of choice for UK businesses.”
