Summer Party launches in Hatton Garden this week

Hatton Garden

Hatton Garden, the UK and capital’s diamond district, will be transformed into a vibrant pop up park for the remainder of this week.

As a marketing initiative to encourage visitors and welcome new customers, the London landmark will be offering free food, drinks, board games and yoga, making it fun and free for all the family.

The road is home to some of the UK’s most famous diamond dealer and jewellery markers, with the long list of jewellers in Hatton Garden including Queen Smith, Fraser Hart and Hatton Garden Diamond.

The area is located between Farringdon and Chancery Lane and was made even more famous following a huge robbery just a few years which has since been turned into TV dramas and films. The robbery continues to be the source of news as the robbers are coming to the end of their prison sentence.

The ‘summer party’ will be running from August 14-16 with a different theme each day.  Yesterday, the area was set up as Picnic in the Park, Thursday is set to be a Pamper in the Park and Friday will be a Party in the Park.

The Friday party will consist of a Latin American theme, with live music from a Mariachi Band, salsa classes with Pineapple Studios, specially curated cocktails from Mambo, street food from Daddy Donkey, churros and piñatas.

Most of the road will be allocated to be free of cars, making it easy and pollution free for any families and visitors.

It is completely free for visitors to come and enjoy the festivities. Last week, a large green engagement ring made from a trimmed bush was placed in the middle of the street, inviting pedestrians to take selfies and send in their photos to win prizes.
